Our Partnerscropped

We take great pride in our industry relationships. They are critical to our success and also inspire us to take our business to the next level.

“We aim to create and integrate value through the whole supply chain. This is achieved through the quality of our long term relationships and key partnerships in R&D, seed production, distribution, retail, and of course with farmers.”

- Steven Carden, General Manager, PGG Wrightson Seeds

Valuing relationships and integrating expertise

To integrate the best science and service models throughout the supply chain requires strong links with the industry’s leading companies, retailers and growers.
As we are a wholesale business, we work with over 700 quality seed distributors and retailers throughout Australia. These include some of Australia’s largest rural groups such as Elders, Landmark and Roberts, as well as emerging independent buying groups like CRT and AIRR.

Our customer-focused technical field team of 25 staff is the largest of any pasture seed company in Australia. Resulting from the team’s activities are particularly strong partnerships with seed production growers -whose ongoing commitment to seed quality and management is integral to our business.

In the pivotal area of research, our partners include AgResearch and Plant and Food Research in New Zealand, and Dairy Futures CRC, CSIRO and SARDI in Australia. We are also involved in plant breeding trials with Meat and Livestock Australia as part of an investment into the Pasture Variety Network Trials. The aim being to establish industry guidelines for the trial protocol and communication of trial data. In fact, our R&D alliances extend to Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, the United States of America, France and the Netherlands.
